"Feel great learning"

By. Hazel aceneth Velasco Dominguez

Have you ever wondered why it is important to learn English during your degree? Perhaps it is not such an important subject for you, or why today children are already studying this language from an early age? Well, here we give you great reasons, for you to marvel at this language.

As we know, English is the third language with the most speakers in countries such as England, Canada and the United States, among others, in addition to countries such as China or South Korea who are not native speakers of this language, as well as many of the countries in all over the world, that is why it is a universal language today. Now Imagine that you are doing your medical service and a tourist comes in with a severe stomach ache. But neither the doctor on duty nor the nurses can understand it. But instead you know English. You have helped a tourist to cure his illness and save his life.

As we observed, English is everywhere, so you will be able to communicate with anyone, no matter where you are. In addition to helping others to communicate with many different people and opening all kinds of doors in your life.

I hope you feel more motivated to study. Now read on! I will give you some tips on how to learn it in an easy and fun way, without having to leave home.
1. To begin with, you can start by learning basic words. Some applications that can help you practice and differentiate between them are Duolingo or Babel.

 2. If you still remember basic parts of English, you can start with your pronunciation, in the following link you can find https://www.britishcouncil.org.mx/blog/past-simple some written words such as present, past and its pronunciation, example. Start - started - Pronounced /star-tid/

3. If your passion is music, this is another fun way to learn, there are applications like
lyrics training, where you can start any song and start practicing on it, since it has a section where you can read and at the same time listen to the song, besides you can regulate the speed. Here is the link so you can download the application, if you found it interesting! https://es.lyricstraining.com/app?nr=1&~channel=web&~feature=redirect&~campaign=none&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fes.lyricstraining.com%2F

4. Our last tip may be very simple, but very helpful! As we know, a large part of the programs that we see on our televisions are created in English, so one way to learn is by listening to it and you will ask yourself, but as it is very easy, you can only go to definitions , search for a language and choose in English, then activate the subtitles and you can choose them in Spanish or English as you feel more comfortable, so you can get familiar.

Now, as a last point, we will tell you how our experience has been learning English virtually? How have we improved? And why is it that we remind you.
During my stay at the university I have studied three semesters and in each of them I have taken English as a subject, although I knew the basics before entering it, it was still very difficult for me to understand it, much less start a conversation. Another thing that he had always had difficulty with was pronouncing words correctly, although he knew the proper pronunciation when speaking, sometimes he used to pronounce words incorrectly due to lack of practice and bad habits. But thanks to the online classes and that currently our teacher and teacher have made our classes didactic, with some puns, videos, audios and especially that during class we always hear them spoken in English, that's how I began to identify a large part of English words and their pronunciation.
